To see if you already have the correct version of the Flash plug-in installed,
go to this page. If you can see the animation on the page which says "Hey! You already have the latest version of the Flash player installed..." then you have the correct version of the Flash plug-in and do not need to install a new version.
Downloading and installing plug-ins is very straightforward. Just follow the instructions in the tutorials, or, failing that, just download the installer applications and accept all the default options presented to you.
