Upon completing this course, you will be able to:
- Identify three behavioral attributes of effective medical leaders.
- Describe four common pitfalls which effective leaders avoid.
- Discuss a conceptual model of gaining and using personal power and influence to promote change.
- Explain five variants of how people cope with and embrace change.
The cost of this module is $15 per person. The module will take up to 60 minutes to complete and includes:

Evaluation: At the end of the module, you will answer several multiple-choice examination questions related to the course objectives. You will also be asked to complete two short evaluations - one is a survey built into the course content and the other is an evaluation of the overall training.

Dr. Alan Lazaroff is the President of Geriatric Medicine Associates, P.C., a 17-physician geriatrics group practice in Denver, and Chief of Geriatrics at St. Anthony Hospital and has practiced geriatric medicine for 30 years. He is the founder and board chair of Total LongTerm Care, one of the largest and most successful PACE programs in the United States. He has been an IPA board member, a hospital board member, an officer of the National Chronic Care Consortium, and a founding member of several community non-profit organizations. Dr. Lazaroff is a member of the American Geriatrics Society Public Policy Committee and is the Society’s Advisor to the American Medical Association’s Relative Value Update Committee.
